Did you know that?
The South Wales Valleys alone has 250 miles of National Cycle Network. Most of our Valleys routes are traffic-free and family friendly and can be easily accessed by train.
Travelling through stunning open green spaces and parks, historic landmarks and the quirkiest friendliest shops, markets and cafes, the National Cycle Network in the Valleys offers hidden gems waiting to be explored.
And that’s not all! Coming soon to a Valley near you…
Sustrans is leading a partnership with Local Authorities and the Assembly Government to extend the existing 250 miles of National Cycle Network in the Valleys by a further 100 miles over the next 2 years.
Almost entirely traffic-free, the new routes will link up to local communities and tourist attractions, as well as travel through truly beautiful places, making it much easier for people to explore, discover and get about the Valleys by bike or on foot.
Even more reason to celebrate the wonderful future of our National Cycle Network!
